Stock Artwork

Escape Key Graphics has added a Stock Artwork section.

Although the selection of artwork is small at this point you can expect the selection to grow over time and include regular bitmap artwork as well as vector based art.

For now I have included some simple little vector graphics that might be used for backgrounds or such and a couple of real nice vector based illustrations suitable for all kinds of uses. I have tried to save in older formats to accommodate those of you with older versions of software. Some of the more complex illustrations use fades, transparency and a bunch of other stuff since my original intentions were to use them as bitmaps so I have saved them as Illustrator 10 format.

Although it isn’t mentioned on the page a bitmap image (either JPG or TIF format) is included in each zip file, so you can verify that the EPS file is correct.

If you want changes to one of the pieces shown or you are interested in purchasing rights to one of the many other images on the site please let me know. Custom art is always available, but alterations to existing work to suit your needs is always a possibility as well.

Enjoy.

1990s Panoramic Photograph

By John Potter

Go straight to the panorama

Back in the ’90s when I was working for Intra Corp Entertainment I used to use mass transit to commute sometimes. I was already playing around with photography a little bit and took these photos from the platform for the Metrorail at Brickell Station which is at 1001 South West First Avenue (map of Miami Metromover stations). These photos were taken some time between 1994 and 1996, but probably 1995 (at the same time). I was carrying a camera with me a lot because I was shooting reference and material for textures for TekWar the game. I used a 35 millimeter SLR, and only in the past few years have I had the software to properly stitch the images together. Ipix was already around, but I think I was unaware of the existance of immersive photography at the time. I guess I was thinking more along the lines of David Hockney’s photo mosaics.

If you frequent the area you may be able to spot differences in the skyline.
