racing park map
This axonometric illustrated map is fully vector based and uses a slightly stylized visual approach that remains clear and accessible. The axonometric perspective provides a consistent view of the entire motorsports park, allowing the full track layout to be understood at a glance. Because this perspective maintains equal scale across the image, tracks in the foreground and background receive the same visual emphasis, reducing distortion and improving overall readability.

Landscape elements such as trees and natural features are used selectively to suggest wooded areas and open spaces without adding unnecessary visual complexity. This balance helps define the character of the site while keeping the focus on track geometry and circulation.

Key points of interest are identified with numbered red markers, making it easy for users to reference important locations. Parking areas are clearly indicated with a simple icon, and the primary access road is labeled directly on the map. A compass rose is included to establish orientation and reinforce spatial understanding.

Maps of this type are well suited for a range of uses, including wayfinding handouts, online and print marketing materials, and day to day site management. They can also be adapted for specific events or temporary configurations. For an off road motorsports park, accurate track depiction is especially important. Clearly showing features such as garages, maintenance areas, dyno testing facilities, and the range of track options, including beginner and novice courses, adds practical value for both visitors and operators.

WHAT ARE AXONOMETRIC AND ISOMETRIC ILLUSTRATIONS?:

Axonometric and isometric drawings don’t have realistic perspective. I use specific mathematical formulas to draw this way. In these images things further away don’t appear smaller and therefore have equal weight of importance to things nearby. My axonometric maps and illustrations are generally bold and have a slightly cartoon like look. This method of rendering perspective is commonly used in technical and engineering drawings. I began using this method of drawing as an illustration tool in 2007.

The difference between isometric and axonometric is isometric drawings are really just from a straight on corner angle but axonometric drawings can be from other angles. Most of my illustrations have parts that are isometric, but are largely axonometric. I have a habit of calling them all isometric, but I shouldn't.
