For First-Time Map Clients
I know being responsible for the map or maps for your company probably wasn't your top choice of task.
Maybe you're the one who has to manage it. Maybe you're the one who has to do it yourself. Either way, this project landed on your desk and you likely didn't ask for it.
It might even feel like punishment.
You have to hassle with getting quotes and figuring out exactly what needs to be done, all while other work piles up. You probably have no idea where to start looking for a contractor or what to ask once you find one.
I understand. And I'm here to tell you that you can take this burden and turn it into something you're actually proud of. With way less time and energy than you ever dreamed.
Here's how it works.
I have many years of experience making maps for clients worldwide. Most of them had never worked with a map maker, designer or artist before. They had no idea where to start or how to proceed. I have experience with the inexperienced.
I ask the questions necessary to get you started. Just a few simple ones to get the ball rolling. Things like "what is the area you need on the map?" Simple, right?
From there I take over. I handle the sorting through resources, establishing an angle, the illustration and design decisions. You don't need to become a map expert overnight. That's my job.
You stay in the loop without the headache.
I will provide you with frequent updates in case you need to show proof of progress to someone above you, or just want to steer me in a new direction. You won't be expected to reply to all of these. They aren't meant to be a distraction during your busy day. They are for your benefit alone so you always know where things stand.
The finish line.
When the process is over you'll have a custom map that does its job well and looks great doing it. Whether you're answering to a boss or just answering to yourself, you get to check this project off the list with a result you feel good about.
And if you need changes down the road I'll be here for you. No need to start from scratch with someone new.
Ready to turn this project around?
If you're tired of spinning your wheels on something you never asked for, let's talk. Send me a message and tell me about your map. I'll ask the right questions and get us moving.
