Study For A Mural
Acrylic on stretched linen 42"x26"

Environment created using Dream MachineThis painting was developed primarily as a study for a large-scale mural measuring 21 by 13 feet, commissioned for the game room at Boca Woods Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida. During the early planning stages, the client referenced works by Jisbar (Jean-Baptiste Launay), along with other contemporary pieces that prominently incorporate popular culture imagery.
In response, I employed a range of methods including freehand drawing, three dimensional modeling, and original photography to construct a composite digital “sketch” in Photoshop that reflected my own visual language. The painting was then executed in a manner analogous to this digital process, built through successive layers in which multiple renderings overlap, with earlier layers intentionally allowed to remain partially visible.
The painting phase took approximately two weeks to complete, not including the initial preparatory sketches. The work is executed using acrylic paint and acrylic resin spray paint.
