Outdoor Mural of Santorini
Art, Design and Mural Painting by John Potter

I painted this outdoor mural on a stucco wall. The scene is a fictional view of Santorini, with its white buildings clustered along cliffs and a blue dome catching the Mediterranean light. Acrylic handles the weather well.
The sketch came first. I worked out the composition on paper to get the architecture and spacing right before I touched the wall. Stucco is not forgiving. You want to know where everything goes before you commit.
This is an example of taking a blank exterior wall and turning it into a window somewhere else. If you have an outdoor space that could use a view, contact me. I am comfortable working on surfaces that need to last through sun and rain.
